Jeans Days for Orphans Program Lead

There are a number of new programs that Roses & Rosemary would like to get up and running.  We have many ideas for the program and now need ambitious, hard working people to build the ideas into one of our successful fundraising programs!

Program Description - The idea:

Our Jeans Days for Orphans program allows employees to wear casual clothes to work on Fridays for a $5 donation to the charity, with the agreement of their managers of course! Those participating would receive a small gift from Africa and would be able to work that day knowing they made a difference in the life of an HIV orphan in Africa.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

We are looking for a creative self- starter who is ambitious, hard working and extremely organized.  Strong communication and leadership skills are a plus!

Tasks:

·         Take ownership of this program, develop and implement the program from the ground up with the goal of creating a functional and successful fundraising program.  One of our board members would be happy to guide you as much as you need and be a contact.

·         Research how other organizations have made this program work

·         Develop program processes, materials and marketing plan

·         Set fundraising targets for program

·         Present initial program plan to board for approval

·         Keep board updated on program progress

·         Work with other interested volunteers who would like to join program committee

·         Work with companies to implement a Jeans Day program

·         Recruit volunteers to build your team (can be virtual and located in other cities)

·         Have Fun!

Time Involved:

Approximately 10 hours per month while program is in development followed by 5-7 hours per month once program has been launched.
