Silent Auction Item Procurement

Description/ Expectations:

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us procure silent auction items for our Fall Event on Friday October 16, 2009.  Every year our silent auctions raise thousands of dollars, making a very significant impact in the lives of HIV orphans.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

·         Experience with soliciting and procuring items is desirable but certainly not necessary

·         Highly organized, outgoing, persuasive and ambitious personality

·         Ability to follow through

·         Strong communication skills

·         Share lessons learnt with the team

Tasks:

·         Work with Auction and Event coordinator in procuring donated new auction items or services for our Fall 2009 Event silent auction by calling or visiting businesses

·         Brainstorm prospective businesses and possible items

·         Present Roses & Rosemary to businesses in a professional manner and explain our cause clearly- A procurement kit with materials and speaking points will be provided

·         Coordinate donation drop-offs, pick-ups and storage

·         Follow- up with prospective businesses as necessary

·         Have Fun!

Time Involved:

Approximately 5 hours per month leading up to the event in October.
