Auction Coordinator
Description/ Expectations
This is a volunteer
position to develop, coordinate, and execute the silent auction at
Roses & Rosemary’s annual fundraising event to be held October 2009.
Opportunity to coordinate future auctions. Our silent auctions
typically raise between $7000-$10000.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Excellent organizational
skills and high attention to detail.

Outstanding customer
service skills.

Strong and clear verbal
and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple
tasks.

Process oriented.

Prefer non-profit silent
auction experience but not required.
Tasks
Manage the silent auction
at Roses & Rosemary’s October 2009 fundraising event.
Recruit and manage silent
auction volunteers; including volunteers to procure auction items,
volunteers to work at the events, etc.
Create and manage a
process to track what items are currently available for auction.
Create and manage a
process to have each item come ready to auction with item information
page and bid form complete.
Track and manage auction
item donors to send thank you letters and tax receipts.
Physically manage
inventory of acquired auction items.
Time
Involved
1-3 hours per month, 10-12
hours during the month of an event, possibly more the week leading up
to the event.
